“It’s time,” Wolf said in an interview hours after making the announcement. “It’s the right time. I’ve had a good run. My constituents are not kicking me out of my seat. I’m healthy and in the fall when the session winds down, I’ll be looking to see how I can continue to be an effective, progressive voice.”
