State Rep Candidate Decker Endorsed By Cambridge Mayors

July 20, 2012 - Cambridge City Councilor Marjorie Decker is honored to have the support of the current Cambridge Mayor Henrietta Davis as well as former Cambridge Mayors; Barbara Ackermann, Francis (Frank) Duehay, Alice Wolf, Kenneth Reeves, Sheila Russell, Anthony Galluccio, Michael A. Sullivan, E. Denise Simmons, and David Maher. They have all come together in a strong effort to elect the next State Rep from the 25th Middlesex District.

"I appreciate Marjorie's leadership and understanding of issues that affect our public health, especially the wellbeing of our children. Cambridge will be lucky to have her representing us on Beacon Hill," stated Cambridge Mayor Henrietta Davis.  With a strong record of fighting for the issues important to people of Cambridge, Council Decker promises to bring her experience, passion, and dedication to the State House.

Decker’s voter outreach component of the campaign has her canvassing and doing events in every ward and precinct in the 25th Middlesex district.  “Connecting with every voter possible is one of my top priorities during this campaign,” said Councilor Decker. “A State Representative affects policy on a different level than a Councilor, so hearing what the constituents of the Middlesex 25th think and believe is key to doing the best possible job I can.”

Frank Duehay, former Mayor of Cambridge, had this to say about Marjorie, "I've watched Marjorie over the last 14 years become an effective, thoughtful advocate for the people of Cambridge.  I know that she will bring that leadership to the State House touching all citizens of the Commonwealth."
